Inman Park Pizza Napoletana:
Inman Park is home to some of Atlanta’s best restaurants and Fritti is no exception. Fritti describes themselves as:
Authentic Neopolitan Pizza as certified by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association. Our pizza is prepared according to traditional artisanal methods. The dough is made with 00 Caputo flour, natural yeast, and sea salt. It is baked in a 1000°F wood burning oven, served Italian style whole, not sliced. Buon Appetito.
The menu is diverse and reasonably priced which makes Fritti one of the go to pizza joints in Atlanta. Parking presents the only major obstacle. Now that the mixed used development is underway across the street, the valet has moved and parking is extremely scarce.
Bresaola di Tonno:
We started with the Cured Sashimi grade tuna with arugula, radish, and lemons. The presentation was disappointing as it looked more like an arugula salad then sashimi, but I thought the flavors were very fresh and delicious. Someone else in the family thought it was a bit of a rip off for $10, but is was actually a pretty solid portion.
Stracchinella: Sausage Pizza
The sausage pizza was delicious, but definitely not my favorite. I prefer thicker pieces of sausage with a little bit of crispiness, whereas this was more like breakfast sausage. Still delicious, but not a featured pizza, which is probably why it’s towards the bottom of the menu.
Sorrentina: Smoked Mozzarella + Truffle Oil
Cotto e Funghi: Ham + Mushroom
This was the favorite pizza of the night, well it was my favorite pizza of the night. This Neopolitan goodness consists of a San Marzano tomato base, mozzarella, crimini and portobello mushrooms, cotto ham. What more could you ask for? Simple yet delicious.
