“The future is vegan.” Honestly, I could not agree more with Plant Based Pizzeria’s slogan emblazoned on their giant wrapped truck. This isn’t the kind of restaurant you are going to go to in order to have a nice vegan dinner and sit down because, well, there is basically nowhere to sit inside except for a bench. This is your neighborhood vegan takeout.
I’ve been a few times now, and each time it seems to get better and better. I’ve only had the pizza so far even though they offer all sorts of vegan things from Cheezeburgers to taco night, to calzones.
Vegan cheese is not really my thing. If you’re a vegan, then you know that cheese is probably the hardest thing to replicate, but Plant Based Pizzeria does a pretty good job. I am not sure what kind of cheese they use, but it’s pretty good.
The featured image at the top of the post shows the last pizza that I devoured, which was half meat lovers and half veggie. I personally am a big fan of the Beyond Meat brand, so I enjoy the meat lovers a lot. It tastes good. It’s not like the most amazing pizza you’re ever going to have, but for a vegan pizza, Plant Based Pizzeria is damn good.
I look forward to going back to Plant Based Pizzeria and trying some of their other items. I really want to go for taco Tuesday so maybe i’ll see you there.
